Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-07-01

This Privacy Policy explains what information Weft ("we") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Weft you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

  • Account information. When you sign in with Google we receive your basic profile (name, email address and avatar) to create and identify your account.
  • Career data you provide. Information you capture or import — for example from LinkedIn, GitHub, a résumé, or public URLs — that you choose to add to your profile.
  • Usage data. Basic technical logs (such as request metadata) needed to operate and secure the Service.
  • AI-usage metadata. When you run an AI operation, we record metadata about it — which operation ran, token counts, and timestamps — to power your usage dashboard and enforce your plan's limits. This is metadata about the operation, not a copy of the content itself.

Published-page analytics

When you publish a page, we record first-party visit analytics so you (the page owner) can see how it's performing on your dashboard. For each visit we record the page that was viewed, the referring site's host (for example google.com — never the full URL or query string), and a salted, daily-rotating visitor hash used only to estimate unique visitors.

We do not store raw IP addresses, we do not set cookies on published pages, and we use no third-party analytics or trackers. The visitor hash is derived from a visitor's IP address and browser user-agent combined with a secret and the current date; because it rotates every day, it cannot be used to track a visitor over time.

How we use your information

  • To provide the Service: build your master profile and the outputs you generate.
  • To process content with AI so we can organize and polish what you provide.
  • To publish the surfaces you explicitly choose to make public.
  • To maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve the Service.

AI processing

To generate and refine your profile and its outputs, relevant content you provide is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) for processing. The AI works only from the content you supply and is instructed never to fabricate information. We do not sell your data.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers that help us run Weft (such as hosting and the AI provider), and only as needed to operate the Service. Content you publish is, by design, publicly accessible. We may disclose information if required by law.

Payments. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are processed by our third-party payment provider (Stripe). We share the information needed to set up and manage your subscription and we store your subscription status and provider identifiers, but we do not store your full payment-card details.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete content, unpublish pages, or request account deletion.

Your choices

  • Edit or remove content from your profile at any time.
  • Control what is published and unpublish it whenever you like.
  • Request access to or deletion of your account data.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
